Stakeholder Engagement: How Hydro One Builds Stronger Partnerships Before Outage

Date: Thursday, July 9, 2026

Time: 2 – 3 PM ET

**This is a complimentary webinar.**

Emergency preparedness is strengthened long before a storm, wildfire, evacuation, or other crisis begins. In this webinar, Hydro One’s Shannon Murphy will explore how utilities can build and sustain meaningful relationships with municipalities, emergency management agencies, Indigenous communities, host communities, and other stakeholders whose coordination is essential during an emergency.

We will discuss practical approaches for establishing trust, clarifying expectations, aligning plans, and creating communication pathways that support more effective response and recovery.

We will also share how Hydro One’s Powering Preparedness workshops bring local partners together to examine regional risks, discuss response roles, and strengthen collective readiness.

Drawing on her emergency management and business continuity experience, Shannon will offer lessons on engaging communities with empathy, coordinating across organizations, and turning stakeholder relationships into a durable preparedness capability.
