Clean PowerCity Campaign Reinforces SMUD’s Commitment to Cleaner Energy

Endeavoring to provide 100% carbon-free energy by 2030, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) launched a communications campaign in 2021 to broadcast the utility’s vision. In 2022, the second phase of SMUD’s campaign showcased the prioritization of its energy goals and encouraged customer support. Through its outreach, SMUD’s messaging resonated with thousands of customers and drew widespread support.

This program earned SMUD a Gold Award in Chartwell’s 2023 Best Practices Awards.
