New Tool Allows ComEd Customers to Identify and Enroll in Assistance Programs

In 2021 ComEd launched its Smart Assistance Manager (SAM) tool to make it easier for customers to learn about, access, and enroll in its financial, billing, and energy efficiency programs. The online self-service tool allows customers to privately self-identify and determine eligibility for billing assistance and savings options. SAM also analyzes customer information in real-time to provide customized and automated recommendations for programs that are likely to meet each customer’s unique needs. This innovative development earned ComEd a Bronze Award for Excellence in Digital Experience.
