Chartwell 2024 Payment Survey Benchmarks
The results of Chartwell’s 2024 Payment Industry Survey include 40 responses from utilities across the United States and Canada. Respondents include 23 IOUs, nine municipalities, four public district utilities, two crown corporations, and two utilities of other types. Together, they serve approximately 68 million customers.
The survey highlights utilities’ ongoing efforts to better align with customer needs and preferences for payment remittance. The survey’s results convey the coordinated work that utilities are doing to integrate new technologies, achieve operational efficiencies, and serve all customer populations. We present survey results in this brief benchmark format, as well as providing the raw data and a lengthier analysis report.
