KEYNOTE – Enhancing Readiness, Strengthening Response: CenterPoint Energy’s Emergency Preparedness Transformation

Over the past year, CenterPoint Energy has significantly enhanced its emergency preparedness and response capabilities. In this keynote session, Don Daigler, Senior Vice President of Emergency Preparedness and Response, will share how the company has expanded its emergency management team, implemented the Incident Command System, and improved communication and situational awareness since he joined the team in late 2024. He will also examine the four critical failure points in an emergency event – recognizing that the event is taking place, scaling up appropriately, and effective coordination and communication – and how CenterPoint has addressed these challenges to improve resilience and response effectiveness.
