Navajo Tribal Utility Authority’s annual Light Up Navajo program is a unique humanitarian mutual-aid initiative. Every year, line workers from across the United States come to NTUA’s territory to provide electrical service to households that have never service in their homes before. In effect, Light Up Navajo improves the standard of living for Navajo families currently living without electricity.

A unique humanitarian mutual-aid initiative, LUN endeavors to extend electricity to as many Navajo homes as possible for the very first time, with the support of electric line workers from across the United States.

On this webinar, we’ll hear from NTUA about the program and its impact on residents, as well as learning from a handful of utilities that participate in the program about its impact on workers who participate in the program. This important work benefits both Navajo residents and the utilities that send teams each year in a true “win-win” situation.
