Senior Check In Helps Consumers Energy Customers Avoid Disconnection

To proactively reach senior customers at risk of disconnection, a collaborative, multi-departmental team within Consumers Energy created a “Senior Check In” outreach initiative. Through its efforts, the utility was able to successfully transition most at-risk customer accounts to good standing through payment extension and assistance offerings.
