LG&E and KU “Sounds of Sustainability” Campaign Evokes Emotion, Increases Website Traffic

The Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities (LG&E and KU) “Sounds of Sustainability” advertising campaign applied an artistic lens to tell the stories of the utilities’ sustainability efforts to a broader audience. The campaign creatively used natural sounds and captivating sights from various utility properties to evoke emotion in quick and concise ads. During the 12 weeks of the campaign, LG&E and KU received dramatic increases in website traffic and high levels of engagement that exceeded benchmarks.

This endeavor has been recognized with a Silver Award for Marketing and Communications in Chartwell's 2024 Best Practices Awards.
