Hydro One Facilitates “All Hands on Deck” Approach to Emergency Preparedness

Hydro One launched a project in 2024 that was designed to improve its emergency management strategy through the cultivation of mutually beneficial relationships with community partners. The utility uncovered a communications gap that it addressed through hosting regional workshops that detailed the importance of mutuality during emergencies. As a result, stronger working relationships and enhanced reliability have been achieved due to this collaborative effort.

This initiative earned Hydro One Silver recognition in Chartwell’s 2025 Best Practices Awards for Emergency Management.
