NV Energy Harnesses AI and Gamification to Support EV Charging

NV Energy uses artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze electric vehicle charging behaviors, including pinpointing high-impact and peak demand accounts with 98% accuracy. Through strategic trial programs, NV Energy has delivered personalized, timely, and gamified communications to achieve a two-to-four kW per vehicle load shift. Detailed consumption analysis, gained from examining 100,000 customers and conducting a targeted managed charging trial, is now shaping NV Energy’s Transportation Electrification Plan to achieve a more intelligent and resilient grid.

This effort won NV Energy Silver recognition in Chartwell's 2025 Best Practices Awards in the Electric Vehicles category.
