EPB Combines Innovation With Customer Focus to Modernize Payment Experience

EPB revitalized its payment experience in 2024, expanding payment options to include Apple Pay, Venmo, Google Pay, and PayPal. The utility has also successfully increased enrollment of its AutoPay option by nearly 40% in less than a year. The utility’s AutoPay was re-launched to an overwhelmingly receptive customer audience. In addition, the utility’s contact center achieved a number of operational gains following implementation of the new system.

This initiative earned EPB Gold recognition in Chartwell’s 2025 Best Practices Awards for Excellence in Billing and Payment Programs.
