Hawaiian Electric Invests in Customer Service Team With Tailored University Program

Despite rising demands and limited resources, Hawaiian Electric Company has developed a Customer Service University (CSU) to empower employees to exceed expectations and lead with confidence. Hawaiian Electric understands that its Customer Service employees are asked to adapt to new technologies, navigate complex programs, adjust to a rapidly changing landscape, and operate under resource constraints. CSU was designed to bridge these gaps, and the program has shown that a mindful investment in teams not only builds skills, but it also constructs a better organizational future.

This initiative earned Hawaiian Electric Gold recognition in Chartwell’s 2025 Best Practices Awards for Excellence in Customer Experience.
