From Rates to Readiness: How Connexus Eases the EV Journey

Connexus Energy began its EV journey in 2010 with an overnight charging rate and added a Time-of-Day option in 2013. As adoption increased, the cooperative set a new and clear objective: “to be the easiest utility to have an EV with.” That mission evolved from the challenges members described, including confusion about charging equipment, enrollment requirements, and cost expectations.

Connexus redesigned its EV resources by revamping the website. This redesign gave members straightforward answers to frequent questions about models, range, return on investment, and charging locations. The cooperative also developed a Trusted EV Charger Installation Electrician List to ease one of the most significant adoption barriers, finding reliable installers.

For this effort Connexus receives an Honorable Mention in Chartwell's Best Practices Awards for Excellence in Electric Vehicle Programs.
