Business Customers Require Strategies Designed With Them in Mind
Utilities are called upon to serve everyone in their service territory with reliable power. And while the majority of a utility’s accounts are tied to residential customers, as much as half or more of a utility’s revenue comes from business customers. Navigating these relationships requires a different approach than is typically used for residential account holders. If done well, business customers can be a powerful ally and valued partner to utilities.
In this first of a series of reports on Business Customers, we examine the unique opportunities and challenges they present to utilities, as well as exploring strategies for improving business customer care for utilities of any size or budget.
