Excellence in Business Continuity Planning and Execution Award
Chartwell is excited to announce a new Best Practice Award category recognizing excellence in Business Continuity Planning and Execution.
This award honors organizations that demonstrate outstanding, comprehensive approaches to business continuity—specifically the development, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement of their programs.
Submissions should reflect how plans are structured, implemented, exercised, and refined to support organizational resilience. Entrants are encouraged to showcase:
- Plan structure and governance
- Incident mitigation and response strategies
- Risk assessment methodology
- Training approaches (who is trained and how often)
- Plan testing and drill strategies
Please include any relevant annexes (e.g., wildfire, capacity constraints, plant accidents) along with defined activation criteria. Submissions should also highlight drill scenarios, lessons learned, plan revisions, and real-world events where the plan was activated.
Judges will evaluate entries based on:
- Continuous performance improvement
- Linkage to risk assessment methodology
- Response strategy effectiveness
- Brand protection
- Impact on customer confidence
- Proven organizational agility
