Nova Scotia has seen a 54% increase in hours of wind gusts over 80 km/h, raising the risk of fallen trees and branches causing power outages. Customer surveys revealed decreasing satisfaction during storm response, with low awareness of service reliability improvements, especially in rural areas. To address this, Nova Scotia Power developed an innovative storm communications strategy based on customer insights. Join this webinar to learn how this approach has significantly improved their ability to reach customers with timely and effective messages, particularly in rural communities. Nova Scotia Power won Honorable Mention in the Outage Communications category of Chartwell’s Best Practices Awards for these efforts, which are already seeing positive results.
