Electric Vehicle Industry Roadmap: 2024 and Beyond

While Chartwell has covered the evolution of EVs for more than a decade, a shift in momentum is occurring. S&P Global forecasts that 25% of all passenger vehicles sold in 2030 will be electric, and that more manufacturers will move away from internal combustion engine (ICE) production. Meanwhile, drivers are becoming increasingly comfortable with the idea of making the transition from ICE to EV as issues ranging from battery ranges to available charging options are increasingly addressed and publicized. 

For utilities, this signals a number of paradigm shifts for their business models, ranging from revenue to infrastructure. Utilities are working to be proactive in response to EV trends to ensure effective customer service and grid stability.
