Chartwell Electric Vehicle Industry Benchmarks

The results of Chartwell’s 2025 Electric Vehicle Industry Survey include 41 complete responses from utilities across the United States and Canada with a total customer base of more than 87 million customers. Respondents include 22 IOUs, six municipalities, four public district utilities, three crown corporations, three cooperatives, and three utilities of other types. 

This Benchmark report addresses a variety of topics about about EV promotion and service including the growth of commercial fleets, how utilities manage charging infrastructure, ways in which utilities identify customers and offer them incentives, and channels used to communicate with customers.
