Chartwell 2024 Billing Options Benchmarks

Chartwell’s 2024 Billing Options audit shows that budget billing is offered by nearly all utilities, while billing via mobile apps is also offered by a majority of utilities. Other options vary based on the size of the utility, with mobile billing and allowing a customer to choose their own due date most common among large utilities, while prepay is most common among small companies.

This report presents findings from Chartwell’s 2024 Billing Options audit, conducted in the first quarter of 2024.
