KEYNOTE – The “All-of-the-Above” Mandate: Growth, Resilience, and the Three-Year Rate Freeze
Electric utilities are entering a period of unprecedented change as rapid load growth from hyperscale data centers, electrification, and industrial reshoring collides with rising expectations for reliability, resilience, and affordability. Utilities must expand and modernize the grid at an accelerated pace while maintaining customer trust and managing rate pressures.
This keynote address will explore how Georgia Power is navigating that challenge through an “all-of-the-above” strategy that balances infrastructure investment, system resilience, and customer affordability. The session will examine how large-load growth, capital planning, and grid modernization efforts can be aligned to support economic development while protecting residential customers from rate volatility. Attendees will gain perspective on how utilities can scale investment, strengthen resilience, and sustain customer confidence during a period of historic industry transformation.
