OPPD Prevents Load Shed Event Despite Extreme Weather
In preparation for extreme winter conditions in January 2024, OPPD began mobilizing internal resources to create rolling outage action plans in order to meet anticipated load demand. Through a coordinated, multi-departmental initiative, the utility was able to successfully encourage customers to reduce usage in order to keep power supply fully operational despite severe climate conditions.
