Knowledge is Power: How NB Power Used Energy Education to Build Customer Confidence

When rising winter electricity bills led to customer frustration, NB Power saw a need for clear and accessible explanations of how energy use affects monthly costs. The utility responded with “Knowledge is Power. Take Charge of Your Bill.,” a province-wide education campaign that used digital communications, community outreach, and practical energy tools to help customers better understand their bills and take greater control over their energy use.

The campaign earned NB Power Bronze recognition for Excellence in Marketing & Communications in Chartwell’s 2026 Best Practices Awards.
