- Wayne Boone, Principal, Alabama Power
Wayne Boone is a Principal at Alabama Power with nearly five decades of experience developing technology solutions that improve utility operations, reliability, and storm response. He leads a team responsible for web-based applications supporting the company’s Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Outage Management System (OMS), helping integrate operational data into a shared digital view for control centers, field personnel, and executive leadership. Wayne also plays a key role in Alabama Power’s outage communications initiatives. Earlier in his career, he led the utility’s first statewide GIS implementation and has been a longtime leader in applying geospatial and operational technologies across the electric utility industry, including serving as president of the Esri Electric & Gas User Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Faulkner University.
