New year, new deadline: Time to work on those outage award entries
By Suzanne Haggerty, Senior Manager of Customer Engagement –
So, without getting into any arguments over whether 2020 marks the new year of the next decade or the final year of the previous decade (please stop), welcome to the roaring ’20s!
Also, welcome to the deadline countdown for Chartwell’s 2020 Outage Communications and Outage Restoration Best Practices Awards.
That’s right, we’ve expanded our outage awards to two categories, meaning we want to hear about your communications efforts AND innovations in the outage restoration process. This change comes alongside the new focus of our annual Outage Conference, set for May 31-June 2 in Denver.
We’re currently finalizing the agenda, but here’s a sneak peek at the variety of high-level topics you can expect at the conference:
- ETR accuracy
- Push alerts and auto-enrollment
- Field crew tech, training and incentives
- Systems integration
- Analytics dashboards
- Digital media and chatbots
- Emergency preparedness
A good bit of the agenda depends on the awards competition: For the first year ever, we’re going have Gold, Silver and Bronze winners talk about their stellar efforts during the conference, ensuring that attendees get a behind-the-scenes look at the best initiatives in the industry.
The deadline for submission is Wednesday, Jan. 29. I’ll be happy to answer any questions on the awards or the conference — send me a quick email for more information. And good luck on your entry!
